Graphics Programmer

I currently work as a graphics programmer for Grand Valley Automation. This position has a lot more to do with graphics than with programming, so much so that if I don’t do programming on my own time, I would barely consider myself a programmer anymore. GVA is a company that deals in building automation for businesses, and a significant portion of that is HVAC. What I do is basically make interactive diagrams that displays information about a building’s HVAC system, such as a floorplan that shows the different temperatures of different rooms, or equipment diagrams showing if this fan is running or that damper is open – stuff like that. There is programming involved in the controllers that control the equipment, but as of yet I have done very little of that – I’ll have to come back and update this when I actually know what I’m doing.
